What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Project Manager position at Discord?
As a Workplace IT Project Manager, you will work with technical leads on the IT team and stakeholders across various projects. You will manage the organization, coordination and completion of IT projects as they pertain to the strategies and goals of the department and the company. You will report to the Senior Manager, Workplace IT.
What you'll be doing
- Work closely with the IT team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered within proposed deadlines, scope, and budget
- Build and implement of the project lifecycle process that the IT team will use to perform the delivery of projects
- Organize and facilitate meetings for coordinating project resources, developing schedules and managing statuses and updates
- Implement IT strategies and used project management tools to track project performance, deliver within budget
- Maintaining timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports across multiple projects and presenting them to stakeholders
- Conduct risk assessments for projects
What you should have
- 5 years of experience in Enterprise IT project management
- Knowledge in project management methodologies and the ability to apply them
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup environment
- Must have troubleshooting and investigative skills
- Ability to properly write and document procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a great sense of empathy
Bonus Points
- Experience with Asana as a project management tool or similar
- Familiarity with IT solutions (e.g. Mobile Device Management, Endpoint Detection and Response, Directory services, Ticketing systems, Lifecycle Management
