Director of Construction

The Director of Construction leads and oversees the progress of all construction projects in a timely manner, ensuring they meet financial requirements. This leader is responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, training, and forecasting of all projects on-site. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: Manage and direct construction projects from development to warranty turnover of the project life cycle. Review project details to forecast deliverables and manage estimated costs. Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations for all projects, overseeing all on-site constructions. Lead the workforce of construction workers and subcontractors to meet project deadlines and phases. Collaborate and coordinate with design teams, architects, project managers, project engineers, and superintendents for budgeting and executing projects. Organize and track the inventory of selected tools, materials, and equipment. Initiate, maintain, and manage communications with members/buyers during the home building process. Delegate project leadership to manage each project and supervise communication to ensure regular updates, timely responses, and exceptional service to each member. Establish, promote, and enforce site-specific safety and quality plans. Forecast, drive, and manage the project pipeline of pre-construction, construction, and post-construction work on the project. Meet frequently with club operations management to address club needs, special requests, upcoming events, and overall business operations. REQUIRED ATTITUDES/ BEHAVIORS Strategic Thinking and Action. Empathy and People Development Skills. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES, and/ or SKILLS Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferably architecture or construction engineering). Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a related field, preferably in luxury residential and/or commercial construction. Experience in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities, demands, and timelines. Ability to listen and respond to specific requests directed by stakeholders. Ability to provide ongoing training in one-on-one sessions and small groups. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written and verbal form. Familiarity with phases of horizontal construction, specifically residential. Competency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Project, and Visio. HEALTH AND SAFETY NEEDS Need to change from cold to heat constantly Need to be standing up for more than 5 hrs. Exposed to various chemical products/agents.
