Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team. As an Elementary School Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. We will provide a fully developed curriculum at different levels for you to implement at the school. You will be asked to assess student progress, and collaborate with other educators and parents to ensure student success.
Duties:
- Follow lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students in the learning process
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of evaluation
- Provide individualized support to students who may require additional assistance
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and development
- Utilize technology and educational resources to enhance instruction
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of elementary education principles and practices
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques, and learning management systems (LMS)
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools such as Blackboard or SPSS
- Ability to conduct research and integrate relevant resources into lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and students
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 12 per week
