Position Summary:  We are looking to hire a skilled process engineer to oversee the design and implementation of our company processes. As a process engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents. Ultimately, your job is to maintain the efficiency of production in order to reduce costs.

 

To ensure success as a process engineer you should have extensive experience in process design, excellent technical skills, and high-level analytical skills. A top-class process engineer can analyze a process system and implement simple yet effective changes to boost production.


 Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Chemical or Industrial) 
  • Associate degree with commensurate minimum of 4 years of work experience may be considered 

 

Certifications/License/Registration Requirements:

  • Green Belt Preferred 

 

Qualification/Experience :

  • Minimum of at least 2-5 years’ experience in lab or production setting
  • Proven work experience as a process engineer
  • Experience with process simulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean principles
  • Ability to motivate and train staff in production teams
  • High-level knowledge of process engineering software systems.
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Analytical Thinker
  • Ability to project manage and work independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to identity, assess and solve problems
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft M365 products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing 
  • Appraise, measure and analyze processes
  • Designing and planning equipment layout
  • Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production
  • Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes
  • Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Train technicians on new and existing processes
  • Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.
  • Performing risk assessments
  • Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems.
  • Performing optimization tests
  • Developing standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process.
  • Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions
  • Work in conjunction with plant leadership to support new products and new technology platforms in operations
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.        These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
  • Consistent and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.
