Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Instructional Designer/Developer is an individual contributor position that works closely with the Manager of Training and Development to assist in content management and develop online and instructor-led curricula for various training programs. This position is within DISH’s In-Home Service and Manufacturing & Distribution group, located at corporate headquarters offices in Englewood, CO.
Key Responsibilites:
- Analyze work processes and system applications used by various departments and help our partners do their work to their best ability
- Design and develop coherent and concise online training courses, instructor led training materials, lesson plans, and user materials that improve user skill and business capability
- Work with project managers, business analysts, developers, subject matter experts, and users during all phases of a project, from needs assessment to post-evaluation
- Provide user support as necessary
- Provide instructional design strategy and guidance to our partners and peers
- Other duties as required; this list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in instructional design, communication, or similar equivalent work experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- A desire to learn an exciting new set of skills in a career where you teach others and help them excel
- The ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- A talent for analyzing and organizing information, and communicating the information to others, either person-to-person or via words, images, and media
- An electric mix of decisiveness and adaptability
- Practical experience with:
- Online and mobile learning
- Developer applications. (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, InDesign, or Adobe Creative Suite are ideal, but we can start with Powerpoint, Word, or Google Office)
- Video production/editing
- Manufacturing & Distribution
