Disney General Entertainment is seeking a Marketing Planning Specialist to support the ABC Marketing team in coordination of strategic marketing & planning initiatives, and in the development of planning processes. This position will play an integral, supportive role in developing marketing strategies and coordinating marketing content plans to support ABC’s entertainment programming. This position is generally supervised by the Director of Marketing Planning.
Responsibilities:
Maintain comprehensive and accurate strategic planning information in customized online planning and archiving database.
Capture on-air and off-air marketing tactics across all media. Includes heavy data-entry, cross-referencing between planning documents and team members to house and disseminate the most current and correct information.
Oversee radio planning, coordinating with media plans, Affiliate Marketing and Synergy teams to ensure timely trafficking and effective leveraging of assets, scripts and copy points.
Develop copy, order, and advise placement of customized on-air lower third graphics.
Prepare for and run daily production priorities conference call, recapping all urgent needs.
Basic Qualifications:
1 years of experience in a marketing/advertising type of function in the entertainment business (television or film).
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Ability to work with varying personalities and communication styles. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Creative and strategic thinker; ability to contribute ideas to the team.
Strong project management skills with an ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Superior organization skills.
Proficiency with Keynote, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
Must be adaptable to changing work situations and remain positive and proactive.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fluent in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
Above average knowledge of Entertainment Brands.
Passion for ABC programming.
Familiar with the latest social media and pop culture.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Film or Television or equivalent work experience
