Description:
A dedicated, dynamic, and seasoned director is needed for the Global Publicity team This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position that requires creativity, improvisation, organization, and communication at a very high level. This leadership role will oversee and manage a film title team according to the VP’s strategic PR priorities, aligned with Company’s evolving business objectives. This position will require some non-traditional working hours (early morning/weekends), light travel and on field level work at events, including premieres, screenings & junket.
Job Responsibilities
Work directly with VP of Title Team and manage team consisting of (2) Sr. Publicists and (2) Jr. Publicists and (2) coordinators.
Serve as proxy for Title Lead VP in meetings and present strategy and decks for campaigns.
Manage and lead team on global campaign strategies, looking at each campaign holistically to achieve primary objective under the leadership of the VP.
Point of contact for assigned campaigns (as designated by VP), reporting into Title Team VP.
Oversight of global campaign assets including A/V materials, clips, written materials, etc.
Liaison with filmmakers, talent, and executives from start of campaign through release (and awards if applicable).
Lead and manage global title budget, sharing updates with VP and finance consistently.
Oversight of team’s workload and resource management throughout campaign.
Lead weekly team meetings to manage workflow.
Effectively communicate both externally and internally campaign status.
Work in partnership across LOBs including Strategy, Synergy, Digital to ensure alignment with campaign strategy.
Requirements:
8 or more years of relevant experience in the entertainment industry, in theatrical and/or streaming publicity.
Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong organization and communication skills are required to interface effectively with internal and external parties.
Experience interfacing with high level executives and filmmakers.
The hiring range for this position in California is $139,742 to $180,842 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
