Disney Entertainment Television Finance is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their National Geographic Partner’s Finance & Planning Team. National Geographic Partners is joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and the National Geographic Society. This individual will be primarily responsible for financial analysis and modeling related to the Domestic, International (NGCI) and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Channels business area. The candidate will sit within the NGP finance organization, reporting into the Manager of Finance.
What You Will Do
Perform analysis, provide insight, and develop communications for a range of deliverables to be used by Senior Management, including Monthly forecasts, annual operating plans, five - year plans and Investment requests
Coordinate with internal partners along with direct management team to support a variety of finance efforts
Assist with the preparation and delivery of management reports. Develop commentary / cause of change explanations for reports based on both department / client requirements.
Develop a solid understanding of the business and strategic plans of supported client groups
Provide client groups with financial planning & analysis support for new initiatives and other ad hoc projects/analysis
Required Qualifications & Skills
2 years of related work experience
Basic understanding of finance and accounting; including financial modeling & return on investment analysis
Strong business and financial savvy
Strong computer skills, including high proficiency in both Excel and PowerPoint
Basic research and analytical skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Establishes relationships, interacts with all levels of management and be an integral teammate
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Capable of working in fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications
SAP and Cognos experience a plus
Education
Bachelor’s required - Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics (or equivalent) is preferred
