What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler I position at Disneyland Resort?
As the Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler I, you will oversee assigned strategic Planning and Scheduling responsibilities to support the Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) maintenance at The Disneyland Resort.
You will report to Manager-Engineering Services Integration.
Responsibilities/You Will:
Provide strategic and detailed planning, scheduling, and materials control to support Facilities and Operations Services Planning.
Maintain Asset, Job Plan, and Preventative Maintenance records in the Maximo EAM/CMMS system; support compliance and show quality standards.
Publish comprehensive look ahead schedules, working with supported teams to ensure labor and material available.
Coordinate activities with Resort partners.
Support strategic planning for long-term downtimes or rehabs.
Participate in audits to ensure documentation and execution against standards.
Implement processes to enhance the efficiencies around work execution.
Present recommendations to customers and peers.
Translate Engineering Services, Engineering, and craft communication into work instructions and job plans, BOMs.
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:
3-5 years overall experience in a machine shop environment.
One year of proven experience with concise technical writing in an academic or work environment.
Understanding of supply chain workflow processes.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Application Suite (e.g., Excel - Macros, Pivot tables).
Proficient in standard software programs and mobile electronic devices.
Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting drawings.
Experience partnering and collaborating with all levels of an organization.
Well-defined organizational tactics to balance time according to priority.
Demonstrated proofreading skills.
Diagnostic and evaluation skills with the ability to remove obstacles.
Understanding of how to consolidate multiple sources of information/analyses into a cohesive story and recommendation.
Willing to work evenings, holidays, weekends, and varying shifts including 3rd shift and working extended hours to complete time-sensitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience Planning Maintenance, Manufacturing, or Projects.
Experience with EAM/CMMS systems.
Experience with Analytical/Reporting tools, such as Business Objects, Cognos, Birt, or similar.
Demonstrated proficiency with scheduling solutions, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Prometheus AkWire vScheduler.
Experience with Materials Management.
Experience building and presenting a compelling story (business case) to facilitate decision-oriented discussions.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
Advanced Degree or equivalent.
The hiring range for this position in Anaheim is $63,386 to $85,030 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
