When you enter this small CPA firm in Wareham, MA you’ll be warmly greeted by their furry office mascot. Okay… he can’t prepare a 1040, but he is super cute.
This isn’t a stuffy corporate feeling CPA firm, this firm has a lot of character and an open door policy. The Owner’s office is filled with family photos and sports memorabilia, the reception area is filled with quirky decor, and the whole firm displays the personalities of everyone working there, as well as pictures from all the firm parties and events they have had over the years. There is something intangibly lovely about this firm, you feel like you belong there.
The owner knows that family comes first, so if your kid has a ballet recital, then you’ll be expected to go to that. You’ll be trusted to get your work done and live your personal life.
You’ll be joining a full service firm with very little turnover, most people have been there for over 15 years, so they’re clearly doing something right.
You’ll be preparing taxes, doing bookkeeping for clients and dealing with the IRS and notices. Don’t worry if you haven’t done much on the bookkeeping side, If you’re willing to learn - you’ll be trained on this.
You’ll work with a variety of small businesses and individuals.
You’ll be joining a firm with a long standing, impressive reputation, and you’ll work with loyal, appreciative clients, some of whom are into their third generations that use this firm.
During busy season, you won’t be worked to the bone either. You’ll work south of 60 hours February through April, outside of this you’ll work a regular 9-5.
