What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at DIVE BAR & GRILLE?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for calculating bills and making change
- Familiarity with brewing techniques and different types of alcoholic beverages is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
