The Role
- Manage and oversee small team of maintenance technicians
- Manage and oversee contractors for professional repairs, ensuring quality service, timely response, and fair pricing through effective negotiation and vendor relationship management
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and production-related equipment
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to keep equipment operational
- Oversee the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality
- Identify and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing corrective measures to address them promptly
- 5 years in the maintenance field in a manufacturing production environment
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines, equipment, or devices to replace defective parts or make adjustments
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary for maintenance tasks
- Proficiency in using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices for diagnostics
- Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management experience to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of maintenance issues
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills to manage maintenance schedules effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections and repairs
- Professional demeanor and presentation when interacting with colleagues and contractors
- Ability to work independently while maintaining focus on tasks
- Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize maintenance activities effectively
- Comfortable with a flexible work schedule, including occasional nights and weekends based on business needs
- CMMS administrator
- Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out)
- 10 years of experience in the maintenance field
- Certifications such as FMA, Forklift, HVAC or similar related a plus
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Facility Management or similar field
- ISO14001, AS9100D/ISO9001 and IATF16949 accredited facility experience a plus
