Role: Azure DevOps Engineer (initial remote)
Location: Northbrook, IL
Duration: Long term contract
Responsibilities
Deep knowledge with hands on experience in building applications on AWS/Azure public cloud with cloud native design, microservice architecture and containerization.
Deploy applications in AWS/Azure Cloud environment
Expert in implementing CI & CD pipeline with various DevOps tool sets
Experience driving continuous delivery practices with extensive usage of terraform and Kubernetes as hands on architect in larger organizations
Proven experience in Writing Terraform Provider
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Experience with source code management tools such as BitBucket and Git.
Proficiency in cross-platform scripting languages and build tools (Gradle, Artifactory, Groovy, Python and Maven).
Detailed knowledge and experience with the following technologies: Jenkins, Bitbucket/GIT, Artifactory, WireMock, SonarQube, and Splunk.
Direct experience with DevOps in Azure.
Experience building cloud-based infrastructure solutions in Azure with a strong governance model knowledge.
Experience deploying and administering Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity or Bamboo.
Experience with Infrastructure cloud tools such as Terraform, Docker, Aspire, etc.
Sound knowledge of administrative best practices for application servers, database servers and 3rd party appliances.
Experience with automated testing solutions for unit testing, integration testing and system testing.
Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java or C#.
Understanding of strategies for providing high availability and security.
Ability to define scalable CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of deployment strategies using Docker for containerization.
Strong understanding and experience operating in an agile development environment.
Experience with Oracle Database or any other SQL servers.
Monitoring experience using tool such as AppDynamics or Azure monitoring tools.
