Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering
- Partner with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, industry analysts, and vendors for the smooth collection of business requirements that result in the effective delivery of sustainable data architecture strategies.
- Provide foresight, direction, and technology recommendations that result in solutions that solve critical business problems.
- Design, document, and deliver development and architectural standards that shape the overall Enterprise Data Strategy to align with business needs and objectives.
- Explore and examine data sets to identify patterns, information, and insights to help draw rational conclusions that support the company in improving their operations or enabling them to gain a competitive advantage.
- Research and identify new and existing opportunities for data acquisition (both internal and external), and understand its significance and potential for usage, regardless of structure, origin, location, or quality.
- Lead architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large scale migrations of data.
- Conceptualize a fluid, end-to-end data pipeline to move and consolidate data from disparate source systems to deliver of a single, unified, consistent, and business-friendly view of it the organization.
- Implement technical measures and functionality to acquire and persist company data in a structure and format that ensures data accuracy, reliability, accessibility, scalability, security, performance, and recovery.
- Package data for the controlled dissemination of information so that access to it can be secure, reusable, and shareable.
- Build and maintain all pertaining data model documentation, glossaries, and metadata in a concise format; centrally located for ease of access.
- Conduct regular audits of existing systems and lead innovation by exploring, investigating, benchmarking, sunsetting, and implementing data centric technologies and recommendations.

- Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical persons in simple terms.
- Confident in decision making with the ability to explain processes or choices when needed.
- Capable to successfully lead, direct, and advise a team of data modelers, data engineers, database administrators, and junior architects to deliver enterprise-level data solutions.

- Excellent multitasking and task management skills.
- Must be able to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and other business teams
