POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Corrosion Specialist will assist with the implementation of Diversified’s Corrosion Control program, with a special focus on:
Responsible for all field activities related to corrosion control and pipeline integrity.
Coordinates with all DEC internal and external resources to implement strategic corrosion control program.
Performs remedial actions when operational deficiencies are noted.
Conducts various tests, measurements, and surveys to ensure efficient operation of pipeline and cathodic protection facilities.
Collects rectifier readings.
Monitors the condition of the pipeline through pipe-to-soil potentials, visual inspection, examination of pipe coupons, field data, etc.
Manages inquiring phone calls related to excavation and construction and coordinates corrective actions.
Completes special projects, other duties, and annual goals as assigned.
The position is responsible for DEC’s Central Region Midstream assets and can be located in Glen Rose, TX, Marshall, TX, Dew, TX or Friarson, LA.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors in a technical/ industry-related field preferred.
NACE CP 1, preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry supporting field operations.
Experience with Corrosion Control process and procedures.
Experience with damage prevention and pipeline locating.
Experience with asset data management/ work order management systems- EAM/ MAXIMO preferred.
Experience with American Innovations, PCS product suite.
Knowledge of applicable State and Federal Regulations pertaining to the Transportation of Natural Gas by Pipeline.
Proficiency in the collection and interpretation of CP data.
Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to organize and interpret data, and to problem solve.
