Basic Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Regularly cleaning floors, walls, and equipment to meet food safety standards. This may involve sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and using disinfectants.
- Waste Management: Handling trash and waste disposal, ensuring that garbage is properly removed and that waste containers are sanitized.
- Restroom Maintenance: Keeping restrooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Equipment Cleaning: Sanitizing machinery and tools used in food production, especially those that come into direct contact with food.
- Compliance with Health Regulations: Following strict sanitation procedures to comply with local, state, and federal health regulations, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Documentation: Maintaining records of cleaning schedules and tasks completed to ensure compliance with sanitation protocols.
