Diversified Group is seeking an experienced Benefit Coordinator to administer Section 125, Section 132 and Health Reimbursement Accounts. Familiarity with flexible spending and reimbursement plans is preferred.

Essential Job Functions: The Benefit Coordinator processes flexible spending plan (flex) claims, parking/transportation (Section 132) claims and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) claims for clients to administer member reimbursements. Manages and maintains the flex, parking, transportation and HRA debit card program for members.

  • Provides excellent customer service for members regarding their flex, parking, transportation and HRA accounts.
  • Fields member communications and inquiries and responds accordingly.
  • Processes daily check run to release member funds.
  • Responds to inquiries from client contacts (Human Resources departments) regarding plan administration questions.
  • Offers online access support to members and clients. Supports the mobile application and access into the WCA (WealthCare Admin) portal by assisting with usernames and passwords, and troubleshooting other technical requests.
  • Sets up New Groups weekly Flex, Parking, Transportation, and HRA billing to Finance via automated reports.
  • Works closely with Underwriting and Sales Departments as well as the clients.
  • Manages annual flex enrollment and eligibility processes for clients and members. Enters enrollments and annual elections into the WCA portal.
  • Assist in creating Renewal Enrollment materials for each plan year. (Enrollment and Educational materials).
  • Is involved in the process with the underwriting department to work with clients annually on plan design to establish flex plan parameters to suit their needs.
  • Builds plan design and demographics in the WCA portal annually.
  • Sets up payroll schedules and contribution schedules in the WCA portal on an annual basis in order to maintain fund account balances.
  • Receives support and information from the Plans Parameter Department for plan compliance documents and amendments.
  • Scans and files paper documents received related to flex, parking, transportation, and HRA plans administration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette with active listening, clarity of speech, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain patient, calm and understanding with customers with effective tolerance of discourteous customers and difficult situations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform quality work demonstrating accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, and especially Excel and spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with health insurance plan documents, eligibility terms and plan provisions is a plus!
  • Flex plan administration experience preferred.
  • Experience with Alegeus or Wex Software is a plus!

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis, operating office machines and handling light materials and supplies in a typical office environment setting.
  • May spend extended periods operating desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent physical activity requires stand and walking.
  • Occasional physical activity requires climbing stairs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

This job is on-site in Marlborough, CT. Opportunity for remote Hybrid schedule is only offered after employee is experienced in role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
