2nd shift Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Minimum Requirements:

· 1-2 years previous shipping & receiving experience or exhibit the aptitude for being trained into the position

· The ability to use basic measurement equipment, i.e. calipers, micrometers, tape measures, weigh scales and other equipment as necessary.

· The ability to read.

· An understanding of basic mathematics and use of a calculator.

· Basic computer skills.

· Able to operate a fork truck.

· Have the ability to communicate effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

General

· Maintains cleanliness throughout the warehouse(s), work areas and yards.

· Follow the proper warehouse flow and quality acceptance rules.

· Aware and knowledgeable of work instructions, job orders including quality alerts.

· Enters data into the CIMS system.

· Ensures recording of data on necessary forms is accurate.

· Backs up Shipping and Receiving Documentation Clerk in creation of shippers and shipping documentation.

· Offers suggestions for continuous improvement of day-to-day operations

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Receiving Internal / External.

· Must thoroughly read documents and verify received goods match description.

· Perform receipt of material and goods. (Counting)

· Perform verification of quantity of material and goods. (Counting)

· Perform verification of material sizes such as thickness, length and width.

· Recording of data on the necessary forms (receiving inspection, etc…)

· The labeling and tagging of received product for acceptance and identification (green tags product labels).

· Completing received shippers.

· Disburse incoming material to appropriate department or area in a timely manner.
Shipping
· Pulling orders to match shippers with verification of product quantity.

· Package outgoing product to protect from damage during transit.

· Loading trucks.

· Proper identification of product with the correct labeling or documents.

· If the days outgoing shipments are not completed by end of your shift, you must thoroughly line up the night shift to complete the required shipments.

Secondary Duties

• To assist other logistic team members in roles and responsibilities when necessary to ensure the logistic departments meets the needs of Superior Cam and their customers.
• When necessary, means whenever your work is completed or other team members need assistance in loading trucks, preparing shipments, moving material or product (Driving Hi-Lo) etc …

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
