CNC Lathe Programmer

$1500 Sign-On Bonus!

This position is responsible to program, set-up, and operate CNC Lathe & Laser.

Essential Functions

• Program, setup and operate CNC turning and machining centers. Maintain productivity on multiple machines performing various operations. This may include but not limited to production machining, tool making, secondary operations, etc.
• Program, setup and operate the laser.
• Support a second operator working in the department.
• Other department duties may be assigned to maintain consistency and effectiveness of the department.
• Must complete required paperwork and be able to use measuring tools to exact measurements.
• Inspect parts and document the information as necessary.
• Able to perform ‘SPC’ with ‘Datamyte’ data entry.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and orderly.
• Lead and direct activities of department personnel to maximize productivity.
• Oversee material inventories to maintain accuracy.
• Communicate with production departments (internal customers) to ensure material requirements are satisfied in a timely manner.
• Report vendor concerns, inventory issues, productivity issues and opportunities for improvement to management.
• Interpret and communicate all daily manufacturing paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 7 years experience in troubleshooting, programming and operating CNC machine tools.
• Must be able to do advanced math calculations, and understand shop production orders.
• Knowledge of safe operating practices per OSHA standards.
