Maintenance Team Member

Position Description:

The role of this position is to perform and maintain maintenance duties and to ensure production departments have their needed equipment to meet customer needs.

Essential Functions:

• Work with Diversity-Vuteq management and staff to meet our customer’s needs and delivery schedules.*
• Follow established work standards, work quantity, and quality standards are being consistently met.* *
• Supports efforts to maintain a safe work environment by demonstrating a “Safety First” philosophy* *
• Audit condition of equipment in his/her area of responsibility and report any problems or safety concerns to Diversity-Vuteq management. Ensure that backup tools or equipment is ready and repairs are made in a timely fashion.* *
• May be required to work overtime, work weekends, and shutdown.* *
• Communicate any problems immediately to the staff or to Diversity-Vuteq management. Assist in problem solving and continuous improvements to area.*
• Facilitate communication between Diversity-Vuteq management and team members.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Must be able to drive a forklift and tugger in a safe way.
• Able to perform mobile equipment condition daily at BOS & EOS.
• Able to perform TPM duties on equipment such as roller bed, tilt tables, spin tables, dollies, and any other process related equipment.
• Basic understanding of reading blueprints for any process layout change support.
• Basic electrical skills.
• Basic welding skills.
• Basic tool usage skills and gas cutting skills.
• Able to control tool inventory for area. Other duties may be required insuring that Diversity-Vuteq meets and exceeds our customer expectations and needs.*

* Education/Skills/Abilities:

• Candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent with the ability to read write and communicate in English to comprehend and follow written procedures, container labels and safety precautions.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds as needed throughout the day.
• Must be an effective communicator, act professional, and support company direction in a positive manner.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Able to work all shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.75 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

• Blue Springs, MS 38828: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
