At Diverzify, we believe our associates are at the heart of our organization. We are looking for an experienced Driver. Our Drivers are primarily responsible for transporting materials of every type of flooring product along with the supplies and tools that accompany the material and supplies from our warehouse distribution centers to customer locations using our company trucks. Our Drivers serve as on-site material handlers and facilitate the maneuvering of pallet jacks to maneuver materials on project sites and break down pallets on job sites and hand material unloading to get it to the proper staging areas on job sites with the help of delivery assistants. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip and follow appropriate safety procedures to transport dangerous cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours. Core functions if the role include driving, transporting, loading, and unloading materials.

Here’s what you can expect in this role…
- Ensures materials, supplies, and equipment are configured to the sales order.
- Loads, secures and delivers or pick-ups materials in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensures material gets to the specified staging areas on job sites, whether that requires using delivery equipment or breaking down pallets.
- Completes and process paperwork.
- Skilled in manipulating controls for starting, stopping, backing, and driving the truck in all types of traffic and road conditions.
- Knowledgeable of the height, width, length, and weight of the truck in order to judge overhead and side clearances, the turning radius, braking distance, and the safest distance to be maintained from other vehicles.
- Skilled to read and understand a road map, and to determine the shortest and safest route for both short and long runs.
- Knowledgeable in defensive driving techniques, including the skill to recognize developing hazardous road and traffic conditions and the judgment to select alternate routes to avoid potential problems.
- Knowledge and skill to adjust driving methods to the practices of the surrounding traffic in order to avoid accidents and to transport cargo and passengers safely.
- Knowledgeable in State and local safety rules and regulations, and the rules of other jurisdictions for operating vehicles.
- Knowledge and skill to load cargo properly onto the truck, using appropriate tie-downs such as chains, binders, or straps for transit on public roads at highway speeds or under similar driving circumstances.
- Knowledge of the operator's manual for their assigned truck and skill to apply such knowledge to particular driving situations.
- Ability to recognize developing maintenance problems when conducting an operator's inspection of the truck, and to report technical problems to the supervisor.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift at least 150 lbs.
- Must be able to work some Saturday's when necessary
