Title: Junior Cybersecurity Analyst (2 Openings)
Locatiin: Mostly remote /Onsite at Springfield as required (15%)
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Position Summary: The Junior Cybersecurity Analyst will play an integral role in our cybersecurity operations by monitoring security incidents and threats. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and be eager to grow their expertise in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor our cybersecurity infrastructure for security breaches and investigate a violation when it occurs.
- Monitor Incident response. Adhere to work as per the incident response plan.
- Analyze security breaches to identify the root cause.
- Continuously monitor computer systems and networks for security issues. Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls, automation, and monitoring tools to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
- Document all security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
- Participate in training programs, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in cybersecurity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in Information Security.
- Fundamental knowledge of firewalls, VPN, data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, web proxy, and security audits.
- Basic understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Understanding Microsoft Entra ID "Azure Active Directory" and securing Microsoft 365 would be beneficial.
- Ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and how to avoid them.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
