We are seeking a skilled BlueCat DNS Specialist to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and configuring DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) using BlueCat s platforms. This role involves BlueCat DNS specialist to help with on-prem prod deployment and migration from Active Directory-integrated DNS
Key Responsibilities:
DNS Configuration and Management:
o Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot DNS zones, records, and resolution policies using BlueCat s Address Manager.
o Implement DNS security policies, including DNSSEC and other protective measures.
o Perform DNS zone transfers, updates, and changes as required by business needs.
DHCP and IP Address Management:
o Manage and configure DHCP scopes and options across multiple environments.
o Oversee IP address allocation and management, ensuring efficient usage and accurate records.
o Implement IPAM strategies for efficient IP space management, including subnetting and supernetting.
System Integration and Automation:
o Develop and maintain scripts for automating DNS, DHCP, and IPAM tasks using BlueCat s APIs.
o Integrate BlueCat solutions with other network management and monitoring tools.
Monitoring and Reporting:
o Monitor the performance and health of DNS and DHCP services, addressing issues promptly.
o Generate regular reports on DNS and IP address utilization, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
Security and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
o Assist in auditing DNS and IPAM configurations to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Troubleshooting and Support:
o Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM-related issues.
o Work closely with other network and security teams to resolve complex networking issues.
Documentation and Training:
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM configurations and processes.
o Train and support junior network administrators and other IT staff on BlueCat technologies.
