Production Scheduler/Buyer
Job Posting for Production Scheduler/Buyer at DJs Boudain LLC
The DJ’s Boudain Production Scheduler/Buyer will manage customer orders with plant capacities in order to produce daily production schedules. These daily production schedules will be compiled in a manner that assures we continue to maximize productivity and consistently produce the highest quality boudin, placing the customer first with exceptional customer service. In this one-shift operation, you will be DJ’s key subject matter expert as it relates to scheduling orders, daily capacities, and procurement needs. Primary responsibilities include:
- Creating and distributing the daily production schedule
- Order boxes, Labels, Meat, and Ingredients as needed to full-fill production orders.
- Update inventory and orders report on a daily basis
- Collect data and distribute periodic sales and production KPI’s
- Other responsibilities as defined by management
Reports to:
- Vice President of Operations
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to perform computations with reasonable speed and accuracy.
- Good judgement and sound decision making skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Work experience in production scheduling and/or logistics planning.
- Experience with perishable products (i.e., food) is preferred.
- Familiarity with food processing procedures, food safety, and automated equipment is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility
- Food production software or ERP system experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
