Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist assists with all aspects of marketing operations, including creation, development and distribution of material. He or she utilizes software applications to create and develop marketing material. The Marketing Specialist maintains day-to-day social media conversations. He or she assist the Vice President Marketing Director with specific projects and programs. The Marketing Specialist provides high quality and professional service to management, customers and fellow coworkers. 

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
• Two years of banking and/or marketing experience or a combination of both
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office
• Able to use the internet and e-mail and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Office products and usage
• Accurate and attentive to detail
• Well organized
• Good typing skills
• Willing and able to help others
• Able to use a computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipment
• Able to get along well with coworkers

Responsibilities

• Designs marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite programs including but not limited to Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Develops copy for advertisements to be used in various brochures, billboards, booklets, flyers, signs, website graphics, email marketing, telephone messages, ATM screens, and social media.
• Designs miscellaneous bank material such as banners, business cards, signs, etc.
• Creates all digital advertising for the branches
• Ensures branding consistency is carried through various marketing collateral
• Works closely with other members within the department to coordinate all marketing efforts
• Assists with planning of branch celebrations, grand openings, open houses, etc.
• Assists with Customer Relationship Management Program (CRM) including creating marketing campaigns using the Smartpops module. Researches and compiles reporting information with the ability to analyze data and information
• Assists with market research regarding direct competitors when needed
• Regularly monitors social media and other online activity related to the bank
• Performs general clerical duties to include, but not limited to: scanning, photocopying, faxing, mailing and filing
• Serves as backup to Marketing Assistant II
• Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns
• Maintains and projects the Bank's professional reputation
• Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community
• Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times
• Completes special projects as assigned
• Attends meetings as required
