Job Description

Distinguished, multi-state 20-attorney First Party Property Defense Litigation Law Firm is looking for an experienced First Party Property Attorney to join their FORT LAUDERDALE office (this position DOES ALLOW HYBRID - but it is not 100% remote).

We represent insurance carriers defending against claims made by homeowners for severe property damage as a result of hurricane, storm, wind, water and other property damage to residential and commercial properties.

***IDEAL Candidates have 1 years experience in First Party Property Litigation in FLORIDA (we will consider EITHER those with Plaintiff or Defense experience!)***

JOB DUTIES: defending cases against FL homeowners in high-value cases from initial pleadings, written discovery, taking/defending depositions, mediation, and trial. Preparing expert witnesses for depositions, taking expert witness depositions, meeting with clients, responding demand letters, drafting comprehensive status reports, billing, court hearings, substantive motions, preparing and arguing MSJs, complex legal research & writing, issuing/answering written discovery, communicating with public adjusters, settlement negotations, and managing all files assigned to you. Must be able to manage a high-volume caseload autonomously. Should be highly independent, organized and able to multi-task.

MUST be currently admitted to practice law AND live in SOUTH FLORIDA.
