We are actively seeking a Business Development Executive with a strong track record of selling advisory and/or audit services on behalf of a public accounting or consulting firm, and who maintains an active book of contacts in the NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, or Chicago metro areas. This position will support our Internal Audit/Risk Advisory practice. Travel will be required approximately 10-20% of the time.
Our Internal Audit & Risk Advisory practice focuses on providing Outsourced or Co-sourced Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and other value-added risk and compliance services, including AML/KYC, Enterprise Risk Management, IT Compliance, COSO frameworks, IPO readiness, and operational reviews.
This individual will be responsible for identifying new leads and networking to help cultivate relationships across these two key practice areas.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
- Create and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets
- Track and organize prospecting efforts, set goals, and glean insights/trends using sales management tools
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline and manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals
- Collaborate with our Accounting Advisory and Internal Audit teams to ensure successful execution of sales initiatives
- Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential clients and partners
- Managing client relationships to identify areas for new services and sales opportunities
Knowledge & Skills:
- Capable of developing strong client relationships and being credible with senior-level executives across the enterprise
- Consultative-based selling experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Professional business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills
- Ideal candidate will have a track record of success in identifying, qualifying, and capturing new business, identifying and meeting with referral sources
- Experience leveraging sales management and/or CRM tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo
- Existing Rolodex of known contacts
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience a must
- Strong background in professional services (mid-tier accounting firm or consulting firm experience a plus)
- Strong process and analytical skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
