This position is remote, candidates should reside in the San Juan, Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Business Operations Services Tampa, and Wilmington area.
The Marketing Department works alongside practice group and sector leaders, partners, marketing leadership, and other senior-level firm stakeholders (US and Global) to develop, implement, and execute innovative marketing strategy to support the growth and retention of existing client relationships, to develop and maintain the DLA Piper brand, and to drive awareness and favorability of our practice and sector expertise in the market.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 5 years’ marketing/business development experience in a professional services environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- High-energy, savvy marketing professional
- Must be a self-starter with critical thinking skills
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills with a keen attention to detail
- Communication and data analysis skills
- Client-service oriented
- Possesses project management skills
- Ability to generate immediate credibility with firm lawyers
- Ability to prioritize changing demands and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Works well in a team environment

What will your day look like?
Under direct supervision, the Marketing Central Senior Coordinator will be primarily responsible for “Level 3” responses to Marketing Central requests, across a broad range of marketing activities for the firm’s practices and sectors. You will centralize critically important operational activities, including improving client mailing lists; maintaining practice collateral; leveraging the firm’s experience database, and drafting compelling submissions to legal directories. You will provide project management support, including driving reporting and the analysis of marketing initiatives, with special consideration for strategically important clients. As needed, you will also support various other marketing activities. Leveraging in-depth knowledge documentation and hands-on training, this person will work on requests funneled through Level 1 and 2 Marketing Central Coordinators, or escalate to subject matter experts.
You will also assist with key client growth initiatives such as Key Clients, Client Feedback and Intersections. You will conduct and coordinate research (with firm research/library teams) on clients, filings, trends, law firm competitors to help position practice/sector group in pitches and proposals and demonstrate expertise in the marketplace. You will assist in compiling presentations, key metrics and reports to leadership, work with other Directors and Marketing Managers on other key practice/sector group projects as requested/appropriate, and you will actively participate in lawyer meetings as requested/appropriate. You will utilize the Marketing Resource System (MRS) to track all workflow; InterAction for CRM and Experience Hub for experience reporting.
