Overview

As a Human Factors Engineer, you will provide subject matter expertise to ongoing and future projects. The Human Factors Engineer will design, evaluate, and review of prototype medical products from a human factors and ergonomic perspective. This position will require a holistic approach to understanding user interaction of various medical products of different modalities (such as task analyses, user testing, heuristic evaluations, and physiological monitoring).    

 

Responsibilities

  • Develops human factors research, designs, testing of medical products and services from the user-centered design perspective
  • Assist in the development of user models through task analysis, process modeling, and user interviews
  • Plan and execute human performance and usability studies for a variety of user environments
  • Perform statistical analysis of behavioral and subjective user data
  • Use proven human factors methodologies and tools in order to recommend changes to improve product design or process development.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years' of relevant human factors experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (Human Factors Engineering, Human Factors Psychology, or related field and experience assisting with medical modeling and simulation, proposals, and standards.)
  • Master’s degree (Human Factors Engineering, Human Factors Psychology, or related field and experience assisting with medical modeling and simulation, proposals, and standards preferred)

*Existing Level III Public Trust Clearance and above or the ability to obtain Level III Public Trust. 

*Pursuant to a government contract, this position requires U.S. citizenship status.
