What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Finance Credit Manager position at DLL?
As Inventory Finance Credit Manager, you will organize, manage and optimize the risk management and credit underwriting processes within DLL for its Inventory Finance segment. Supervise a credit team to support the BU in achieving its targets. Execute the risk management and credit underwriting processes within the BU, based on assigned authority levels and targets, in order to support BU in achieving its Expected Loss targets. Manage credit and risk process for semi-standard to more complex small to large sized inventory lines for dealerships in the CT&I, F&A, RV industry.
Day to Day
- Supervise and motivate a team of analysts who collaborate daily with other departments to make recommendations for credit lines that both meet the needs of DLL dealers and conform to DLL’s risk appetite.
- Implement and abide by credit risk policies and procedures that will help enable the BU to meet its risk cost and net profit targets.
- Manage the annual review process, ensuring that credit requests are reviewed by the appropriate level(s) of credit authority and completed on time and in accordance with DLL’s global risk policies and procedures.
- Inform and liaise with all BU, corporate parties, risk committees and vendor/partner on developments in credit/risk profile portfolio.
- Signal opportunities for improvement, then initiate and manage needed corrections.
- Participate in collaborative projects as needed between DLL and DLL management teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and internal policies.
- Manage the BU’s responses to inquiries made by Credit Review and other examiners throughout the year and help ensure that the credit risk management process is functioning properly and prepared for such exams.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with key representatives of our vendor partner so that we can be responsive to its evolving needs.
- Provide analysis and recommendations as needed to other members related to the status of existing credit lines, classified accounts and other matters.
- Maintain and submit reports within and outside the BU related to changes in loan quality and ratings, status of credit reviews and condition of the portfolio.
- Ensure DLL training is completed by the assigned deadlines and the guidance provided is included in the day-to-day operations of the credit staff.
- Analyze financial, asset, market, legal and contractual risk including preparation of MRA analysis and using Central Rating Engine to calculate Risk Rating.
- Participate in local risk committee meetings and provide decisions on applications and agreements, when appropriate.
- Provide information, support, training and align all parties on credit and risk management policies, processes and issues in order to cultivate a sound (credit) risk organization and (credit) risk awareness culture.
- Management of the local vendor review process across the commercial finance business units.

Essentials
- Bachelor’s degree with financial/accounting emphasis preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in the field of credit analysis, underwriting and risk management.
- Knowledge of vendor programs, financial analysis, portfolio analysis, internal and external regulations, credit/risk management policies and scorecard techniques.
- Must be able to manage a large volume of annual and new dealer reviews while also responding to frequent ad hoc requests for adjustments in lines, etc.
- Strong analytical and financial writing skills.
- Knowledge of inventory financing and security filing, KYC, UCC/Purchase money security, a plus

Applicable Pay Range
$120,625.54 - $180,938.30
DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.
This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
