Developing DLP Analysts has historically been the responsibility of the functional area. With our recent reorganization, DLP is prepared to launch our Analyst Rotational Program geared to recent graduates and future Leaders of DLP Capital. The paid rotational program has the following objectives: Develop our next wave of talent/leaders, create versatility in our Analyst Teams, demonstrate the value of all DLP opportunities, develop talent to move & launch regional offices, and create a purpose to drive retention. The Rotational Analyst Program will be for 18 months; 6 months as a Credit Analyst, 6 months as a Capital Markets Analyst, and 6 months as an Investment Analyst. Upon completing the 18-month rotational period, the Analyst's permanent placement as a Credit Analyst, Capital Markets Analyst, or an Investment Analyst will be determined based on interest, fit, performance, and office needs.
While supporting Capital Markets, the Analyst will succeed in efficiently cycling the firm’s funds to maximize returns for our investors and accelerate company growth. This will be accomplished through the sale of long duration loan products to our buying partners. In addition, you will be responsible for pledging loans using the firm’s debt facilities and or securitization vehicles thus optimizing DLP capital.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze and maintain the rental loan pipeline, identifying loans that are both ready to be sold and recommending the best loan buyer based on economics and other variables
- Assist in calculating the loan economics of each loan and trade settlements including the loan buyer buy price, accrued interest and net proceeds
- Responsible for the design, setup, maintenance and analysis of multiple loan and asset “data tape” schedules for use in numerous reporting, decisioning, due diligence, research and projection projects including frequent ad-hoc special project reports and presentations
While supporting Credit, the Analyst will gain a deep understanding of single family & multi-family investment real estate deals or DSCR loans. Responsibilities include:
- Underwriting properties and borrower with a focus on a “pro deal” mentality while creating approval memos, making good credit decisions and recommendations, and identifying and mitigating risks
- Underwriting loan requests and documents, including borrower financials, credit report, tax returns, bank statements, REO schedules, personal financial statements, investment track records, appraisals, and property inspections, in order to properly assess risk factors
- Evaluating real estate investment deal strategies, and the underlying asset’s as-is and after-repair values
While supporting Investments, the Analyst will gain experience and knowledge in multiple disciplines including but not limited to Private Equity, Complex Capital Structuring, Ground-up Development, Acquisitions & Mergers, Commercial Lending, Asset Management and Property Management. Responsibilities include:
- Analysis and Financial modeling: calculating IRRs, cash flow, multiple partner water flows, etc., and preparing cash flow analysis
- Process applications and funding both completely and accurately
What you have already achieved: (Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree required upon start; business, communications, finance, or analytical-related field of study preferred
- Solid analytical and financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Passion for learning and a desire to grow
- Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization.
- Must live in or be able to relocate to Jacksonville/St Augustine area
