DLR Group's Design team has an opening for an Architect or Designer for our K-12 Education sector.

We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

Location: Lincoln, NE

Position Summary

As an Architect at DLR Group you will be the main point of contact for our in-house integrated design team, coordinating all aspects of project document development to maintain the quality of the work product. As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

You will be responsible for coordinating, with assistance from a Project Manager, all aspects of the project documentation. You will collaborate with all project team members to produce quality work product while supporting design excellence. In many cases, you will follow the design through Construction Administration.

The successful candidate will:

• Successfully collaborate with Integrated Design Practice (in house engineers, interior designers, high performance design experts).
• Coordinate the design and follow it through architectural production and construction administration.
• Identify and propose technical solutions to design challenges to the team and client.
• Provide technical feedback in the conceptual development of the design.
• Produce accurate documents aligned with firm standards and client goals.
• Communicate to Project Manager the progress of assignments to meet the project schedule.
• Participate in in-house training activities to further develop skills and abilities.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-10 years of experience.
• Licensed Architect or eligible to begin licensing process.
• Interest in or experience with educational projects.
• Technical knowledge in architectural modeling and design.
• Have experience in the use of computer modeling and rendering software such as REVIT and Sketch-Up.
• Must be a strong collaborator, detail-oriented and organized with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have an interest in sustainable design.
• Construction administration experience.
