DMG MORI is one of the largest manufacturers of cutting machine tools and a manufacturer of CNC-controlled Lathes and Milling machines. Products include machines, industrial services, software and energy solutions.
The Production Assistant is responsible for a variety of duties to support management and senior level executive(s). This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong initiative and independent judgment, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient and organized manner.

- Select and order necessary equipment and tools used in the production processes
- Properly manage inventory of production related items
- Audit assembly rates and work records and analyze for work efficiency and improvements
- Generate, organize and execute factory environment (5S) improvement projects
- Factory floor support of production technicians
- Document, analyze, prepare various reports and projects
- Read and interpret design documentation to inform procurement and production staff
- Develop, organize and execute production efficiency and quality improvement projects
- Prepare and maintain schedules based on projects, production, machine status, staff and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Experience with precision machine assembly including use of hand/power tools and precision tooling.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to safely operate an overhead crane.
- Fundamental computer operation skills and experience using MS Office programs.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment (assembly, machining, quality control facility) at DMG MORI Manufacturing. Exposure to possible hazards may include noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.
Physical Demands:
Frequent: Standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements, lifting or moving up to 50lbs.
Periodic: Operating power equipment, and utilizing a computer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
