About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a CLOUD ARCHITECT 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, collaborating closely with UI and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
  • Utilize extensive AWS development skills, including experience with services such as Fargate, Lambda, S3, ECS, Aurora MySQL, SQS, TextTrack, and OpenSearch, to architect scalable and resilient cloud solutions.
  • Provide network engineering expertise to design and implement secure and efficient network architectures on AWS, including configuration of AWS networking services such as Route 53.
  • Lead a team of resources with full-stack development skills to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support and facilitate possible new development initiatives.
  • Design and implement GitLab pipeline continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, leveraging Docker and AWS EC2, to automate software deployment and testing.
  • Write scripts for automated testing using tools such as Cypress to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Implement robust security measures for applications, networks, and devices, including risk mitigation activities to ensure the security and integrity of systems.
  • Support 99.99% system availability through proactive monitoring, dashboards, and canaries, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Agile teams, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and delivery of business value in each sprint or iteration.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with system design, architecture design, software development, and hardware sustainment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with AWS network engineering, including experience with AWS services such as Route 53.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: 

  • Extensive experience with AWS development, including experience with services such as Fargate, Lambda, S3, ECS, Aurora MySQL, SQS, TextTrack, and OpenSearch.
  • Proficiency in UI/UX design, demonstrated by completion of a design certification program or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with GitLab pipeline CI/CD, Docker, and AWS EC2.
  • Testing knowledge and skills, including experience writing scripts for automated testing using tools such as Cypress.
  • Knowledge and skills regarding securing applications, networks, and devices, with a focus on risk mitigation activities.
  • CompTIA Security certification or an equivalent security certification.
