What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Registration position at DMOS?
Do you enjoy interacting with patients? We are seeking an outgoing individual to assist patients with the check-in process in our Interventional Physiatry Clinic. This full-time position is Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM at our West Des Moines office on the second floor. Responsibilities include checking in patients, scanning documents into patient's charts and answering the phone. Previous medical office experience is a plus, but not required.

Do I want this job? You will be working at the West Des Moines clinic in our Interventional Physiatry Clinic on the second floor. You will be the first point of contact for patients arriving for appointments and procedures. You will check-in patients, schedule upcoming appointments, provide support answering phone calls, and manage faxes. You will provide outstanding customer service to patients in person and over the phone. Our patients are hurting, so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful.
Can I do this job? You must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time that may seem unnatural. You must have a high school diploma or GED. If you have previous healthcare experience and want to apply your knowledge to administration, this may be a great fit. If you do not have previous medical office experience, customer service experience is desired. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet and understand patient information shared in clinic, stays in clinic. You can multi-task while staying organized and collected. You are able to work the hours of this position (8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday)
