IT Infrastructure Lead

Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Lead is responsible for IT Infrastructure Operations, including leading the design, documentation, development, deployment, support and maintenance of the company’s IT Infrastructure components, including but not limited to Network, Hardware, Software, Data Center, Storage, Cloud, and Security. This position will supervise a lean IT Infrastructure support organization consisting of internal and external resources as well as managed service providers.

Reports to: Director of Information Technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other related fields; Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of four (4) years leading an IT Infrastructure Operations team
• Minimum of eight (8) years hands-on experience working in IT Infrastructure Services
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, along with technical documentation
• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure-based technologies, including Office, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Compute, VM, AD, ADFS, Windows Server, IIS, DirSync, Intune, Endpoint Manager, etc.
• Working experience of network connectivity, and infrastructure (switches, FW, VPN, etc)
• Experience with Infrastructure Security concepts, such as MFA, layered network security, DMZs, IPS, zero-trust, encryption, PAM, and security frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL (certification preferred) and ITSM principles and practices
• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and industrial infrastructure preferred
• Experience with IT Infrastructure support for an SAP ERP implementation preferred
• Technology certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee end user support and IT Infrastructure environments, project delivery and maintenance across multiple sites going through an SAP ERP implementation
• Manage the architecture and delivery of IT Infrastructure components, including network, hardware, software, storage, servers, operating systems, and backups
• Identify and execute legacy infrastructure upgrades to modernized platform
• Develop multi-year roadmap to prepare for EOL, lifecycle management, and technical improvements across the IT infrastructure landscape including, desktop/laptop and server OS refresh plans in alignment with business needs and to harden security posture
• Lead consolidation and improvement of network infrastructure
• Initiate technical discussions with stakeholders that drive IT Infrastructure decisions
• Develop a disaster recovery plan to ensure RPO and RTO objectives are met
• Ensure systems and IT environment adhere to security and compliance requirements
• Advise and make recommendations concerning IT infrastructure and related issues
