Automation Application Engineer

DN Solutions, formerly Doosan Machine Tools, is looking to hire a Automation Applications Engineer We are a leading global manufacturer of CNC turning and milling machines, and the home of #MachineGreatness. We build a range of CNC machines for leading manufacturers in the Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Energy Medical, Electronics, Agriculture and Semi-conductor industries.

What you will do:

• Support sales and quoting efforts as required.
• Robot programming on automation systems projects, Fanuc is a plus.
• Understanding CNC machine tools, both in turning and milling.
• Create robot program based on customer specific process requirements.
• Write and implement cell PLC programming based on application.
• Customize and integrate vision products to meet specific customer requirements.
• Lead and direct field installation efforts at customer site
• Develop customer training and cell documentation.
• Conduct customer specific training classes after acceptance.
• Provide input on EOAT selection and gripper designs.
• Validate, by simulation robot paths and orientations work within defined space.
• Supervise, train and mentor entry-level Engineers.
• Ability to propose a complete cell design including Layout.

What you will bring:

• 2 years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field with equivalent experience or 2 years Degree in related engineering field with minimum 4 years of Automation, Robot and PLC’s Programming experience.
• Robot and machine vision application experience
• Electrical and mechanical debug experience
• Extensive PLC programming experience and related mechanical peripherals.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical prints.
• Windows, Visual.NET, Database development knowledge (SQL) programming knowledge
• PLC programming and developing of HMI’s.
• Experience with end of arm tooling design is required.
• Project Management and Proposals
• Programming of robots, Fanuc is a Plus.
• Great organization and prioritization skills.
• A strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Able to travel in/out of US for business and training.

Travel Requirements: 30-40%
