Key Responsibilities: Cost recipes and ingredients using approved methods and costing programs and keep costing program updated with raw material and labor costs.

You Will

  • Cost recipes and ingredients using approved methods and costing programs. 
  • Keep costing program updated with raw material and labor costs.
  • Apply proper yields to products either from information provided by culinary teams or reliable source material.
  • Apply appropriate labor costs to all menu and service items.
  • Calculate pricing using approved methods and/or pricing program.
  • Analysis cost/prices to identify errors and fix as needed.
  • Keep all Master Price Lists updated.
  • Provide ERP data team with updated Master Price Lists and any customer changes as needed.
  • Validate Master Price List information generated from the ERP program is accurate and ready for operational use.
  • Manage and update customer menu related documentation: customer information, menu grids, price lists, specifications, boarding bills, etc.
  • Work with culinary and commercial teams to ensure accuracy of all customer menu related documentation.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Other duties as assigned.

The salary range for this position is $62,832 to $86,164, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

You Have

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality accounting preferred with two (2) years of related experience, or Associates degree with minimum of five (5) years’ related experience or high school diploma with ten (10) years’ related experience a must.

 

  • Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
  • Experience with QUICKBOOKS a plus
  • Experience with QAD, CXP, SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Intellectual/Social demands:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame.  This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including ability to direct/motivate/inform CSR’s and other related staff, foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with customers.

 

Physical demands:

  • While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc.; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets, and office machinery; constantly moves about the office or units before, during and after production; constantly communicates via telephone, email, and in-person with others to exchange accurate information. Stands for long periods of time and must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

 

Work environment:

  • The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud during meetings, depending on the incumbent’s location, and minimal during non-meeting times.
