Overview
Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is seeking a Construction Deputy Project Manager to assist in planning and oversight of a wide variety of construction projects from beginning to end. The duties include hiring subcontractors and working with engineers and architects as needed and tracking all aspects of a project including budget and schedule. The ideal applicant will be highly organized, with the ability to plan and multitask in order to meet deadlines and keep projects under budget.
Responsibilities
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage subcontractors; ensure that work is completed in a timely manner to meet the overall project schedule as well as ensuring that all in-scope work is completed within the given budget.
- Communicating daily or weekly with the onsite Superintendent regarding work completed
- Knowledge of progress/issues on each project
- Coordinate efforts across the entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
Periodic duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing the construction schedule and activities (monthly)
- Working with the team to prepare the monthly billing to the client
- Issue progress updates to the client monthly
- Issue progress updates regarding costs and schedule internally (weekly)
- Report on data received from subcontracts, architects, and engineers to project team and upper management
- Requesting bids from subcontractors to perform scoped work
- Vetting and hiring subcontractors to complete a variety of projects
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
- 3 or more years of experience in project management within construction and knowledge around required permits
- Comfortable reading and understanding construction drawings and documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software (especially Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint). Additionally, it will require knowledge for Primavera P6.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Strong leadership and management skills

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
