Description: We are currently looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our DNR team. The role will include tasks such as: Setting up and operating machines, assisting packing and assembly or tending to parts. The Machine Operator will also perform cleaning, de-rusting and passivating, while maintaining safe work practices. Must also maintain a clean work environment with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Be a team player with flexible work hours and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Aid in the assembly and packaging of products during the manufacturing process.
- Use a variety of factory machinery and hand tools.
- Lift, handle, load, and unload products.
- Operate parts cleaning machines and finishing machines.
- Inspect and quality check products, and verify accuracy.
- Prepare products for processing and/or shipping.
- Assemble, attach, and test pre-manufactured components or parts.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding warehouse inventory and maintain documentation.
- Monitor equipment and report issues as required.
- Maintain the flow of production with multiple part numbers running at one time.
- Functions as one part of a potentially large team.
- Work at a fixed rate of speed for long periods while remaining focused and minimizing mistakes.
- Understand and comply with all manufacturing and assembly safety procedures and comply with them at all times.
Requirements:
- Possess good coordination and dexterity.
- Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including day, evening, and overnight work.
- Travel between plants maybe required. Plants are within an approximate 5 mile radius.
- Must have/had a Forklift License.
- Must be able professional and reliable in a fast-paced environment.
- Must perform physical tasks associated with the job, which may include climbing ladders, operating forklifts, maneuvering carts or other heavy objects, or sitting or standing for long periods of time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1 year minimum experience in machine operation
Environment:
- Work indoors: factories may become hot or cold.
- Must be comfortable with lifting and wearing specific safety items, such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and gloves.
- Processes utilize potentially hazardous chemicals such as solvents, acids and cleaners.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
