What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at DNV careers?
DNV’s Energy Use Services group is seeking a Financial Analyst with strong analytical skills. As a valued member of our team, you’ll be responsible for developing proposal budgets; supporting our portfolio of energy efficiency programs across the United States on their monthly budget files, forecasting, invoicing, and establishment of best practices; you will be a leader in development of a centralized support group to provide trainings and process improvement.
This position can be based out of any of our DNV offices across Continental US.
What You'll Do
• Analytical work could include assisting any of our programs with budgets, payments, invoicing, data analysis, report completion, working with IT BA’s on system functionality, or process improvement to name a few
• Support proposals and program launches
• Train other Program Analysts in needed skills
• Supply Clients with customer data that is required to satisfy reporting contractual obligations
• Assist team with document, file, and database organization to ensure processes, best practices and communications are clear and available to the larger EM service area
• Actively engage with the Energy Use Services team and other colleagues across functions, sharing your experience, knowledge and ideas in support of innovation and customer success

As required by the Pay Transparency laws in Colorado, New York City, California, Washington, and Connecticut, DNV provides a reasonable compensation range for roles that may be hired in those locations. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the states of Colorado, New York City, NY, California, Washington, and Connecticut only, the range of starting pay for this role is $95,000 - $115,000.
What is Required
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar discipline
- 3 years of experience in collating data, developing reports, reviewing budgets and invoicing is required
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerBI and the ability to quickly learn new tools is required, SQL experience is preferred
- Ability to synthesize a process and develop clear documentation of that process is required
- Experience in energy efficiency programs is strongly preferred
- Individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
