DNV Digital Solutions business area is seeking Area Manager- Electric Grid solutions sales in the Americas. This team is responsible for selling all software solutions and related services into the Electric Utility market.
What you'll do
You will be part of the Americas Regional Leadership Team and will collaborate closely with the team members.
You have market understanding in the Electric Utility industry and ability to build presence and relations with communities in the market - both with customer groups and with other Business Areas. You set priorities based on customer needs and have a proven track record of driving a customer centric behavior throughout the organization. You build and nurture a personal standing in the market, and you inspire and ensure that key resources in your local organization do the same.

This includes ensuring you have an optimal and efficient organization at any point in time, as well as running the on/off boarding processes in an efficient way.

Other responsibilities:
- Ownership of the Annual Operating Plan - sales planning, quality sales/revenue forecast, Key Unit Goals and KPI's for own unit
- Manage Individual Performance including goal setting, mentoring, motivating and coaching, evaluate/assess the performance of individuals, on and off boarding processes
- Increase sales activities and improve sales discipline via competence development and business acumen
- Carry a commission-based team target and lead by example by delivering business development and sales activities in the market
- Create a collaborative environment and work with the other DNV
- Business Areas to leverage our core strengths and promote the entire portfolio of capabilities within the DNV Group
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience along the customer journey
- Drive growth along the conventional sales channels, and adapt and pursue the digital sales channels and processes as they are made available
- Develop new and grow existing markets for DNV Electric Grid Software solutions, with an emphasis on SaaS offerings
What is Required
- At least 10 years of successful sales/sales management experience
- Solid relevant experience in the Electric Grid Market with a proven understanding of the entire customer process; from leads generation, through opportunity development, pre-sales, sales, delivery, operations, and technical support, and closing of deals.
- Proven track record in sales and reaching sales target with Software/Digital products
- A genuine interest in and documented experience leading through motivating and energizing colleagues and customers; utilizing the strengths of your organization/network in an efficient and respectful manner
- Ability to create a collaborative environment and be a solution-oriented part of a regional management team
- Ability to quickly understand service offerings in Digital Solutions
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Pre-employment drug and background screening
Preferred skills
- Broad understanding of the North American Electric Utility market
- Existing business network in the U.S. Energy Landscape
- Practical Utility experience
- Experience with SaaS products and solutions
