Local Unit & Position Description
DNV Energy Insights USA, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to work at our office in Middletown, CT.
Job Duties: Provide engineering expertise in the energy and environmental fields. Focus on technical analysis for energy and resource conservation, energy technology assessment, implementation of renewable energy systems, development and application of energy modeling and simulation methodologies, feasibility assessment of energy efficiency opportunities in commercial and Industrial (C&I) facilities, and conservation technology implementation support for C&I facilities. The position requires up to 30-40% domestic travel.
Salary: $104,796.12-$105,000
Main Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience as (all levels) Project Engineer, Energy Efficiency Engineer, or closely related occupation.
Alternate Requirements: Master's degree in stated fields and one (1) year of experience as a (all levels) Project Engineer, Energy Efficiency Engineer, or closely related occupation.
Special Skills: Requires experience with the following:
- Calculating energy savings of energy conservation measures (ECMs) and performing utility billing analysis using excel spreadsheets, engineering methodologies and technical reference manuals;
- Project Management;
- Using diagnostic equipment such as ultrasonic sound detector, combustion analyzer, data loggers, current & pressure transducers, infrared thermal imager, etc.; and
- Evaluating energy efficiency opportunities including lightning systems, HVAC systems, building envelop, plastic injection molding, variable frequency drives (VFDs), etc.
