Risk Management unit Brazil is seeking a proactive intern to join a fast-paced technical safety consultancy at the cutting edge of risk analysis techniques.
This a great opportunity to start the career as a member of a motivated team that is a trusted voice to tackle global transformations and challenges, helping our customers in achieving the safety of their assets and operations. As part of an experienced and collaborative team, the intern will be daily immersed on a challenging subjects to develop knowledge on Risk Management Methodologies, focusing on the development of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and Process Safety Studies.
The Risk Management team in Brazil provide a wide range of advisory safety engineering and risk management services to the energy industry, for CAPEX and OPEX projects, in Brazil and worldwide.
The CFD Intern reports to a Team Lead and has responsibility of supporting with technical delivery of projects under the guidance of more senior members of the team.
Energy Systems is searching for one intern to the Risk Management CFD team, to perform with the main tasks as below:
- Support on technical reports and presentations preparations
- Support on gas dispersion simulations
- Support on explosion/fire simulations
- Support on detectors allocation
Position Qualifications
- Studying Chemical Engineering - graduation predicted to December 2024 or July 2025
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- Advanced in Spanish (desired)
- Solid knowledge in office package (word, excel, powerpoint)
- Proactive and critical thinking
- Digitalization mindset and Good knowledge in programming (Python, VBA or others)
- Knowledge on Process Safety discipline
- Knowledge in FLACS, KFX, Ansys CFX, Fluent, Openfoam, or other CFD related tool is desirable
- Knowledge in 3D Design tools such as Autocad, Solidworks or similar is also desirable
