Local Unit & Position Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY

General

DNV Inspection has established 19 local offices, offering a global service delivery in 80 countries.

The Health, Safety, Information Security, Environmental and Quality Management (HSSEQ) Manager is appointed by the Governance and Compliance Director and reports directly to him. The HSSEQ Manager is the point of contact for local advice and support in matters concerning Quality, Information Security, Operational Safety and Environmental monitoring.

 

 

The HSSEQ Manager is responsible, on behalf of the Governance and Compliance Director, for the below listed tasks and functions:

 

Service support

  • Main point of contact for and towards local countries in matters concerning Quality, Information Security, Operational Safety and Environmental monitoring.
  • Monitor, assess and propose improvements of HSSEQ performance and related tools to ensure required quality, efficiency, and implement of best practices.
  • Support implementation of changes in local and HSSEQ processes and related tools.
  • Monitor local HSSEQ KPI’s and QPI’s.
  • Coordinate and promote experience feedback.

 

Quality, Information Security, Operational Safety and Environmental Management

  • Supporting the development, implementation and improvement of the HSSEQ management system.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HSSEQ improvement plans to deliver objectives, targets and improvement initiatives.
  • Monitoring and analysis of HSSEQ management and performance, including planning and conducting internal HSSEQ audits and follow-up of findings.
  • Formal and informal HSSEQ performance communication and reporting through the monitoring and follow-up of the global quality KPI’s/QPI’s.
  • Facilitating and where appropriate, the definition and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensure and report on the adequate handling of findings from external and internal audits, coordinate responses, and follow-up corrective and preventive actions are implemented by Line management.
  • Assisting in the provision of HSSEQ training and awareness.
  • Promote the use of Synergi Life for the follow-up of HSSEQ cases.
  • Monitor, report and follow-up performance for HSSEQ related activities, in particular registration and handling of HSSEQ cases in Synergi Life.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual HSSEQ improvement plan and the Management System Review.
  • Co-ordinate and maintain Local Operating Procedures.
  • Maintenance and follow-up of local notifications and accreditations, as applicable.
  • Liaise with Regional HSE Specialists and Country HSE Co-ordinators, to provide Inspection specific input where required and support implementation of Group Global / Country-wide initiatives

 

Position Qualifications

Position Qualifications / Competency requirements:

  • Experience in influencing, engaging and coaching local management to successfully drive forward on-going projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Integrated working - collaborates effectively across diverse countries and cultures, to achieve delivery of results.
  • Tenacious, with the ability to communicate convincingly and with authority.
  • Strong personal emphasis on achieving high standards of excellence and willingness to take responsibility to initiate activities and drive objectives through to conclusion.
  • Highly organised - ability to work effectively in a high-pressured, deadline driven environment whilst maintaining focus on quality and attention to detail.

 

Technical / Professional Expertise and Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant HSSEQ industry legislation and best practice
  • Solid working knowledge of quality assurance practices, processes and standards
  • In-depth knowledge and experience on information and cyber security practices, processes and standards (incl. data protection and GDPR)
  • Professional membership of a recognised international safety / quality institute, or similar
  • Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9K, 14K, 27K, 45K)
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Computer literate, with good IT skills including experience of all MS Office applications
  • Prior knowledge of Inspection Production Systems, would be an advantage
