You will be working in a modern, international and digitalized organization that is driven by the purpose to safeguard life, property and the environment. The DNV Germany headquarter is placed directly at the waterfront of Hamburg’s HafenCity. The DNV Payroll department is part of a professional Global Shared Service Center organization and provides services for over 1.200 employees, in multiple legal entities, for different German locations from Rostock to Augsburg.
You will be part of our HR Payroll Team providing expertise in end-to-end payroll processes. As Payroll Specialist you will have the ownership over social insurance regulations, income tax and related process change execution. Our payroll system is a long-proven SAP HCM system including a state-of-the-art ESS / MSS service for our German employees, line managers and other stakeholders.
In your role you will:
- Handle the operational implementation of the monthly payroll in accordance with current tax and social security provisions as well as operating rules and procedures
- Oversee the implementation of personnel measures such as employment, relocation processes, contract changes and withdrawal
- Be the payroll contact person for employees and managers for your area of responsibility
- Maintain contact with external authorities or health insurance providers
- Be in charge of calculation of payment compensations
- Handle the administration of the appendant registration systems and statements
- Cooperate in optimizing and developing cross-functional processes
- Support our payroll experts during tax inspections and audits
- Cooperate in cross-departmental projects

Position Qualifications
- Professional experience in German Payroll ("Lohnbuchhalter")
- Profound knowledge of German social security contribution and income tax regulations
- SAP HCM experience preferable
- Usage of Case Management System welcome
- Precise and conscientious working style
- Customer orientated communication
- Very good German skills required - written and verbal
- Good English skills required
- Experience in a Shared Service Center organization is a plus
