Shift: 6AM - 2PM one weekend day
Operates sewage treatment plant equipment in a manner that ensures adequate treatment of wastewater in accordance with NPDES permit and other DEP/EPA requirements; Maintains equipment by performing minor repairs and routine maintenance as required and directed; Performs sample collection and laboratory analysis as needed to maintain excellent process control and for required NPDES permit testing; Maintains records related to operations based on observations, inspections, and laboratory testing results; Assists in the preparation of monthly reports as directed; Performs housekeeping duties including painting, grounds keeping, sweeping, mopping, shoveling, and raking as needed; Assists in maintaining building interiors and exteriors; Must be able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and be able to lift 50 lbs.; Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Requirement: Applicants must possess a current and valid license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Certification of Operators of Wastewater Treatment Facilities with a minimum grade of IV-M.
