The team
Our Sales & Business Development team collaborates with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform how they do business via contracts and other types of agreements covering the entire process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing agreements. Our team partners with some of the largest most innovative companies in the world and in their industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. Whether you are selling to an individual or a large enterprise, you will apply your extensive knowledge of our product and strategic partnerships to help our customers grow their top and bottom line.

This position
The Group Vice President of Global Business Operations will work closely with the President, Field Operations and collaborate with other executive leadership to develop and optimize a cohesive global GTM strategy. DocuSign is looking for someone to lead the design, optimization and scaling of the field operations organization as we expand our global market presence. Responsibilities for this position include delivering data-driven insights and recommendations, the evolution and optimization of sales training, management of sales compensation, oversite and actionable recommendations regarding the progress to revenue goals and to partner cross functionally across the company to lead initiatives that enable the field operations function to succeed.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the COO, Worldwide Field Operations and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with FP&A and global field operations leaders to provide global and regional forecasting, analytics and planning that delivers predictable sales intelligence
  • Influence and shape key deliverables within the field operations organization
  • Partner with field operations leadership to measure the success of performance programs to ensure the achievement of global and regional goals
  • Benchmark our current field operations capabilities to better understand our gaps and greatest opportunities for improvement under the lens of end-to-end functionality
  • Drive the development of the long-term vision and roadmap for the Field Operations teams, including having an impact on build-out of teams and future roles.
  • Optimize visibility and alignment across the global field operations organization to ensure data integrity at all levels of the organization
  • Evaluate regional territories, account assignments, lead generation, performance goals and compensation plans are in alignment with DocuSign's global revenue goals
  • Partner closely with the Sales Enablement Leader to mature and expand training and tools to our sales and sales leadership teams; ensure the cross functional support that drives the career development
  • Evolve the framework and structure for critical leadership meetings
  • Align roadmap and drive the prioritization of the right efforts in order to increase operational efficiency and overall business delivery
  • Champion a collaborative and inclusive relationship with Customer Success, Marketing, Sales Leadership and our G&A partners

Basic qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline
  • 15 years of direct experience in Business Operations with financial analytics responsibilities and 10 years leading and motivating layered management teams
  • Ability to demonstrate experience managing complex sales and GTM problems in a fast growing, dynamic environment supporting executive leaders
  • Capable of building, implementing and monitoring GTM methodologies, processes and policies that create actionable deliverables that support revenue goals
  • Experience developing and monitoring enterprise level GTM tools and technology
  • Definable experience influencing change management, problem resolution, and communicating complex ideas in coherent terms to a cross function groups in a scaling environment
  • Strong bias for action, an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity, and natural perseverance
  • Superb communications and engagement abilities: You are a natural at knowing your audience and are able to communicate through numerous channels, operating comfortably at all levels of the business

Preferred qualifications

  • 10 years in SaaS sales and an MBA or the equivalent is preferred
  • Experience managing workflow from Salesforce.com
