Dodge & Cox is seeking to hire an internal Advisor Specialist to be a resource for Advisors seeking information about the Dodge & Cox Funds. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a deep understanding of each of the firm’s investment strategies, advisors’ business models and trading platforms, and the evolving advisor industry as a whole.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Primary resource to respond to incoming advisor inquiries
- Effectively articulate our investment strategies and provide in‐depth portfolio knowledge to the firms’ advisor client base. Expert in intermediary advisor trading platforms and how industry is evolving
- Partner with external Client Portfolio Managers as appropriate to service advisors
- Consistently and efficiently capture advisor data in CRM (e.g., advisor assets, business model, contacts, notes)
- Represent the firm at industry conferences
- Partner with Communications team to develop digital marketing materials, and enhance the firm’s positioning efforts
- Collaborate with Wealth Management Specialist in refining the firm’s strategy in this evolving segment
Qualifications:
Dodge & Cox targets candidates with high levels of academic and professional achievement and leadership ability.
- Four-year college degree with an excellent academic record
- 5 years of work experience and demonstrated interest in the investment industry
- Strong understanding of intermediary advisor trading platforms
- Strong understanding of equity and fixed income investment strategies
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands on, direct and practical business style with an attention to detail and responsive attitude
- Demonstrated good judgement in complex evolving backdrops
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- CFA or MBA preferred
