Your Role
The Production Technician is responsible for achieving production and quality requirements within a defined time-frame, from preparation to filling, while remaining compliant with hygiene, HACCP and work safety guideline.
Your Responsibilities

1. Operates production machines by means of automatic/manual controls, and adjusts production equipment to product-specific parameters according to the daily production plan and the observance of time parameters.
2. Processes raw and semi-finished products according to the recipe, manufacturing and operating instructions for all departments.
3. Takes samples and conducts quality controls, forwarding the results to Quality as needed.
4. Fills finished products into appropriate packaging.
5. Initiates and controls repairs, maintenance and modifications of machines in close coordination with the supervisor and maintenance department.
6. Records all data as required (i.e. charts, necessary process adjustments based on data findings, etc.).
7. Performs CIP/COP and general sanitation as needed.
8. Implements the internal and legal specifications and guidelines concerning hygiene, HACCP, food and work safety and environmental protection.
9. Informs Supervisor and Manager on issues or immediate needs that may impact the department.
10. Adheres to GMPs within appropriate zones.
11. Interacts with and inputs data into SAP.
12. Performs general sanitation duties.
13. Assists in other areas of production as needed.
14. Performs LOTO procedures when needed.
15. Interacts with and follows instructions provided on PI sheet.
Your Profile
1. High school diploma
2. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment
3. Must be proficient in the use of equipment such as flow meters, scales, steam lines, chart recorders, agitators, pumps, valves, and batch tanks
4. Must be able to read and understand PI sheets
5. Must be able to read and follow a production schedule
6. SAP experience
7. Working knowledge of food & beverage production or related processes
8. Ability to read and understand PI sheets (inspection sheets)
9. Experience with dairy processing, bottling, and package equipment

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures. The position will be scheduled to work Monday through Thursday, but may be required to work Fridays and Saturdays based on the needs of the business.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This full-time position will be scheduled to work 3rd Shift Monday through Thursday, but may be required to work Fridays and Saturdays based on the needs of the business.
